Time intensity (TI) methods are used to measure perceived changes in the intensity of one, or sometimes two, sensory attributes over time in a product or stimuli. Evaluations are performed by a panel of well-trained human assessors. Sweetness taste and alcohol flavour were evaluated independently in a 4-product studies on fruity liqueurs and a 4-product study on ready-to-drink coolers, each using a testing protocol established according to business objectives. Data were represented as TI curves, with the goal of capturing the temporal sensory information about the products. Outcomes informed subsequent product development and re-formulation decisions.
